Hear an excerpt from our recent CD “L’alliance des Contraires“, recorded at the Rinckenbach organ in Ammerschwihr, Alsace and published in 2018 by Hortus: the delightful original work Scherzetto from 1912 (the second part of Méditation et Scherzetto) by Théodore Dubois (1837-1924), Organist at La Madeleine and later Professor of Harmony and eventually Director of the Paris Conservatory. You may also read two reviews of this release on the “Kudos” page.
With thanks to Éditions Hortus for permission to include this selection on our website as well as to the sound engineer Roger Lenoir for his technical aid.
The final Allegro from the First Sonata by J. S. Bach echoed (literally!) through the Cathedral of Nanterre in our concert given on February 17, 2019.
A calmer, more lyrical moment was provided by the Melody by Camillo Schumann.
