The Pierre Maciet organ, once illustrated by Marie-Claire Alain, will sound forth in a varied programme organized by the information and events bureau (Syndicat d’Initiative) in the western suburb of Paris, Neauphle-le-Château, and designed to highlight the instrument’s classical features. Among the rarely-heard masterworks will be an original three-movement suite from the late 1930s by the German composer Hermann Schroeder.
