Score: Musette by Gounod

This bucolic pièce taken from an opera with a Provençal subject after Mistral, allows beginning organists to play together with more advanced instrumentalists (oboe, flute, clarinette, violin…). The original orchestral scoring features an oboe solo accompanied by the lower strings playing the drone fifth and two clarinets relaying each other in the ostinato figure.
